Our impact

50,000+

hot meals handed over since 2023 — one bag, one neighbor at a time.

  • Not one day missed

Rain, wind, holidays. Every day since 2023.

  • ~1,500 calories

In every bag. A real meal, not a snack.

  • A new team daily

Different volunteers cook, pack and drive each day.

  • Nothing comes back

Leftovers go out again in downtown Arcata.

Recognition

The first of its kind in Humboldt County

Humboldt Soup's On is the first and only group in the county registered as a Limited Service Charitable Food Operation with the Division of Environmental Health at Humboldt County DHHS. Every meal is cooked in a commercial kitchen to the county's food safety and sanitation standards.

“We will not stop feeding people.”

Beyond the meal

What showing up every day makes possible

  • Housing. Through a local veteran housing program, several of the people we serve have moved into stable homes.
  • Pets. A pet rescue and adoption partner has made spay and neuter care possible for animals belonging to unhoused neighbors.
  • Connections. Trust built over a bag of soup has led people to healthcare, housing assistance and counseling.
